The lower limb is a complex structure containing an intricate network of exterior and central veins. These veins play a vital role in transporting deoxygenated blood from the extremities back to the heart. The surface veins are situated closer to the skin's surface and are visible upon inspection. Amongst these include the great saphenous vein and
